Home Search Topics Contact About | Who Can Be Against UsSometimes it looks as if Christians are losing the battle. But we need to look at things from God*s perspective. We need faith in Him. We need to be like Elisha*s fearful young man. 2 Kings 6:17: And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.1 John 4:4: Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. Romans 8:31: What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
The answer is no one. God is invincible and we His children are too. Even if men torture or kill Christians, they cannot kill us spiritually. No one can take away our salvation. No one will be able to take away our rewards or joy in Heaven. No one can defeat God*s absolute will. Matthew 10:28: And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. 1 Peter 1:2a . . . 5: Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, . . . 5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.Mark 9:41: For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward. John 16:22: And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.
Charles Haddon Spurgeon on Isaiah 37:22b: . . . the daughter of Jerusalem hath shaken her head at thee.
